MY VISITING TEACHERS
They are coming today; it is just a matter of moments.
I wonder if they know how dear each visit is to me.
Could they know that their sweet voices and
Gentle ways are helping me to remain steadfast and true?
Perhaps, they are busy enough with tasks and other visits to make?
But, I like a child look forward to their kind words and admonition
and testimony. It is no secret at all their devotion to the
gospel and all it entails. Someday this may not be my permanent
spot but just for now and this day, I need a visit from these dear souls.
Tell me of the words of Christ, about the beauty of the Temple and how
You love your children.
Tell me of your love for the prophets and of your own heritage.
Let me drink deeply from the cup you are offering to me.
For I desire to be quenched by your kind
reservoirs and nurtured by your tender concern.
Thank you, sisters of Relief Society. I may not have
illness or loss today, but for a kind word, I deeply yearn.
And I know when you have departed today,
I will with grateful heart anticipate your next return.

Life is like this, I know for a fact we take our visiting teachers, and home teachers for granted, but I know someday we will need them, for now hopefully we can help others so that that when it is our time of need we can call upon those. But for now I have no clue who ours even are. I am sure they are nice people though.
