How The Westey Won...

We have some good news in our family.

West entered a Nestle Push-Up Popsicle contest and he won!!!!!!!!

He had to design (on the computer) his very own push pop wrapper using graphics they offered on their website. He decided to go with a robot theme and he won the grand prize. He won a nice wad of pocket cash which he kindly plans to share with his sister, Sailor, and a donation of $2500 smackaroos to the institution of his choice.

If I understand correctly, then there is another part to the contest--the voting phase. I guess we can all go here http://www.scholastic.com/pushupandcreate/ and vote for our favorite design. I already know which one I'll vote for :).
Best of all, West's push up wrapper will be on the push-ups in summer 2010. We can't wait to hold a West original push up Popsicle in our hands.

Congratulations to West. We are all so happy for him! YEA WEST!!!!

Conratulations West! We are so happy for you! We can't wait to see your winning design. By the way do you think you could loan me some money?:)

Thanks so much, Heidi. West is thrilled and feels very empowered by his windfall. A six year old with a $1000 gift card? I was happy with the five bucks I got from Grandma on my birthday! The voting should have started today, but I guess they're behind schedule. I guess I don't really understand the contest, because I don't know what they are voting for since they already picked the grand prize winners. Hmmm...

Ok, here's the update: the voting is only for the 50 first place winners (the $250 prize winners) NOT the grand prize winners. Whoever wins the voting portion wins 10 T shirts with their push up design on them. Apparently the voting will not happen until November 4th now. West's design will be up that day for everyone to view. Thanks for posting about it.

Congratulations Westy Boy! That is so exciting! When I heard that Westy won a Push Up contest (on Leslie's blog - in the comment section) I thought he won an exercise contest! This is far more exciting! Way to go Westy!
